Once the site of scholarly pursuit, this landmark stands as a tribute to Rusk' heyday

The institution known as Rusk College functioned until 1928, after undergoing several reorganizations and name changes. The grand 3-story structure offered classes from first grade through junior college, with six buildings on a campus that sprawled across more than 12 acres.
